For this 2008 edition, the Adventure Race World Championship (ARWC) took place in Brazil.
With a 520 km of race and 6 sports practiced. This edition was a smart but technical race for each team.
It was a great experience for all and QUECHUA Cie des Alpes finished at the 5th rank and the 1st french team after 5 days troughout North-East of Brazil.

The "Trail des Aiguilles Rouges" 2008, from Les Houches to Chamonix assembled this year hundreds of motivated runners around a beautiful race in the same named ridge.
And this was with an exemplary podium that Quechua team finished this trail.
Dawa Sherpa, Vincent Delebarre & Rudy Gouy finished on a Full Quechua podium !
Mind you also performances of Sebastien Talotti (5th) and Guillaume Lenormand (9th).

The Mont Blanc Ultra Trail attracted more than 2,300 runners (including 172 women) this year for 3 routes through 3 countries in the
Quechua ambassador Guillaume Le Normand, won the CCC (Courmayeur (IT), Champex (CH), Chamonix (FR)), a distance of 98km with 5,600m of positive altitude gain.
Quechua technical partner Dawa Sherpa finished the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail in 2nd place (Chamonix-Chamonix); 166 km with 9,400m positive altitude gain. Spaniard Kilian Jornet won the race.
NB: new this year was Petite Trotte à Léon (gentle jog), which hardly lives up to its name at all as it is the longest of the routes, over 220 km with 17,000km positive altitude gain.

January 3rd:
Ada2 pursues its road to return to Ushuaia, all the team has sudden a depression, that shook during some hours only with points in 55 knots. There was a small tear in big veil, which Isa repaired with the fairy's fingers.
The quarters take place well, albatross giants follow the boat, there are still 500 miles before the arrival.
On January 13th
Ada 2 is back in her port of registry after 11 days of crossing. The climbers and the sailors are very
satisfied to have arrived safe and sound and to find the yacht club, their friends, the fresh vegetables and the warm showers!
At present, it is the summer to Ushuaia and the temperature is 15 °. The crew is too much hot moreover almost, not being used any more to these temperatures.
All the team was sad to cross the canal of Beagle, winds in 50 knots which shook them austerely.
Fortunately, there was a calm which allowed them to reunite Puerto Williams then to reach Ushuaia.

December 26th:
Ada2 gets ready to leave on Ushuaia, a navigation of a dixaine of days, small change in the team as agreed. Manu Cauchy as well as Philippe Batoux took place on the boat The Diamond which will navigate in the direction of the peninsula Antarctica these last ten days before joining also Ushuaia.
A newcomer, Benoît Heimermann, big reporter to the Team Magazine, writer and director of collection at Grasset who replaces Manu Gauchy.
Ada2 left Grytviken on December 29th having wiped a storm which twisted the rail by pushing the boat on the pontoon.
The team wanted to wet in the bay of Elsehul for 31/12 but they have of to leave rashly because there were 40 knots in this bay.
Rough atmosphere and fog: cold, icebergs and cliffs which they see at the last moment, even with the radar.
All the team celebrated New Year's Eve.
