| Maintenance | CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation. | ||
| Composition | PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester inner tent, PU-coated polyamide groundsheet. | ||
| Warranty | ![]() | ||
| Tests | The waterproofing of Quechua tents is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/m². The water column test (=mm schmerber) is quite well known but is not a good indicator for measuring tent waterproofing, only for fabric. Of course, the fabric needs to be waterproof (and is from 1,000mm!), but the tent must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc. This is tested in a lab tent shower. | ||
| Warranty and After sales service | 2-year warranty for normal use -- all Decathlon stores offer after-sales service for your tent with replacement of faulty items under warranty or damaged (payable) for flysheets, bedrooms, poles or covers. If replacement of an article is not possible, a repair solution will be offered. | ||
| Weight and compactness | Most compact 3-man tent -- 3kg -- Carried with ease on or under a backpack: cover length less than 40cm -- Compression bag. | ||
| Inner space | This tent has amazing inner space for its weight, thanks to its tunnel shape. (Inner tent: 215cm long, 65cm wide per person at the head, 53cm at the feet). -- Roomy bell end (90cm x 195cm) (can be extended by unhooking the back part of the inner tent while you have a meal for example) -- See diagrams. | ||
| Access | The big door opens up very easily in a single movement -- 2-way zip is handy to open the door from the top on damp mornings. | ||
| Pitching | Pre-pitched sleeping compartment so you can pitch the tent with the bedroom out of the rain. Easy and quick to pitch after you've done it once (see film on www.quechua.com). | ||
| Ventilation and condensation prevention | 2 upper air vents -- Gap between the ground and the bottom of the flysheet. | ||
| Waterproofing | Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (WHOLE TENT in a shower of 200 litres/h/m²!) and in field tests. -- Polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet -- Taped thermo-bonded seams -- 140g//m². polyethylene groundsheet. | ||
| Poles | All Quechua bivvy tents have lightweight aluminium poles for their light weight and maximum resistance to breakage and freezing. (8.5mm 7001 aluminium.) | ||
| Tent pegs | Ultralight and impossible to twist or bend (aluminium, 9g each). | ||
| Waterproofing | Laboratory (shower test: 200 l/hr/m²!) and field tested. | ||
| Model | Registered. | ||
