1997. The adventure begins

The Quechua brand is created and the name is registered. Then, the serious business started: job interviews, recruitment... and the 6 first pioneers, product managers and test directors come to Sallanches in Haute Savoie. A 3-room flat was used as offices. The first Quechua products were designed there and tested straight on the slopes of the near by mountains. Less than a year later, in spring 1998, the catalogues published by Decathlon presented Quechua as the "new Decathlon brand, created for hiking, climbing, skiing, boarding..."
