Placing your pegs, adjusting your guy ropes, choosing a good spot for your tent: we give you our tips on how to pitch up your camp or bivouac without asking any questions.

1/ PREPARE THE BASICS POINTS WELL SO THAT SETTING UP YOUR TENT IS MORE EFFICIENT

To make sure that your tent has the correct volume, it is important to stretch the tent taut on the ground using low hooks. If you are able to make a very smooth rectangle you have every chance that your tent will be perfect once set up!~For tents with peg straps at the 4 corners, we advise you to loosen them as much as possible so that you can easily adjust the volume of the tent when finishing to set it up.

For most of our tents the poles are the same colour as the corresponding sleeves so that you can easily identify them.We advise you to assemble all the poles together before setting up the tent, you will be more efficient once you start to put the poles into the sleeves.

For inflatable tents like the Air seconds, if you position the base of the tubes outwards before starting to inflate them, you will gain living space.

2/ Not too much or too little: ADJUSTING THE GUY ROPES

Instinctively, we all tend to tighten the guy ropes (or guy lines) as much as possible.~In fact, as they are there to increase the wind resistance of the tent, it is important to give them a certain amount of flexibility.~Stretching them too much can crush your tent, which can cause the door to widen or allow rainwater to enter.

3/ THE FINAL TOUCH: PLACING THE PEGS

Finally, to ensure that you have pitched your tent correctly comes the peg step! So that a peg remains firmly in place and does not escape at the slightest gust of wind, you must place it tilted at 45° in the opposite direction to the tent..

Do you want to be sure that your tent is properly pitched?By opening and closing it you will easily see if it is. If your front door zippers don't move easily or feel like you have to force on them, it is likely that it is too tight or not tight enough!.

You are ready to live your adventures, off you go!
