Taking a 2-second tent on board an aeroplane

Flying with a 2-second tent is usually an easy matter. Its round shape does not cause any issues. A 2-second tent can be checked in as luggage to be stowed in the hold. Depending on the airport and tent size, you may be asked to place it on a luggage belt for outsize items.

It's best to wrap it in plastic, making sure that no straps are loose, for easier and safer handling. You can usually do this at the check-in area of airports.

Unless the tent takes you over the weight limit or the number of luggage items authorised for your trip (check these figures with the airline), you won't have to pay for extra luggage.

We recommend you enquire at the airline to make sure you don't have a nasty surprise at the airport.
