1/ What are uv rays?
UV stands for Ultra Violet. This refers to the various rays emitted by the sun that are invisible to the naked eye.
Two of them – UVA and UVB – pass through the ozone layer and affect us daily. Only one category – UVC – is blocked by the ozone layer.
> UVA rays are most the most dangerous for the eyes as they can reach as far back as the eye lens in adults and the retina in children.
> UVB rays can be absorbed by the eye lens in adults.
