We know that a little freshness before a good hike always does you good so here is an easy salad recipe to make when camping. It gives you all the nutrients you need for walking, with flavour to excite your tastebuds.
Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 20 mins
Total time: 30 mins
. A saucepan (included in the MH500 cookset)
. A MH500 wood stove
. A soup spoon
. A multi-function MH500 knife
. A chopping board
. 300 g potatoes (cooked)
. 300 g beetroot (cooked)
. 100 g smoked salmon
. 10 g nut oil
. 10 g lemon juice
. 1 branch of dill
. Salt
1. Cook your potatoes in boiling water for around 20 minutes the night before the meal.
2. The day of the hike, slice the cooked beetroot and potatoes in the pan. Also add the finely diced salmon.
3. Season with the oil and lemon juice, salt and dill.
4. Serve and enjoy your salad immediately!
